Barbados recorded six new positive cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) on Monday, April 5. The new cases comprise three men and three women.
The new cases were identified from among the 271 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
Twenty people also recovered and were released from isolation. There are now 102 people in isolation.
The island has recorded 3 691 confirmed cases (1 783 women and 1 908 men) from the start of the pandemic, and there have been 3 557 recoveries. Forty-three people have died from COVID-19.
The public health laboratory has conducted 143,597 tests, since February 2020.
To date, 63 738 people – 26 344 men and 37 394 women – have been vaccinated as part of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. (BGIS)
