11 new virus cases, 20 people recover

Eleven new positive COVID-19 cases – all females – were identified on Saturday, April 10, from 321 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

Twenty people also recovered from the viral illness.  There are now 79 people in isolation.

There have been 3 730 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1 815 females and 1 915 males) recorded since the pandemic began in March, last year.   Additionally, 3 607 people have recovered, and 44 people have died from the virus.

A total of 146 135 tests have been conducted by the public health laboratory.

To date, 65 873 people – 27 137 men and 38 736 women – have been vaccinated as part of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. (BGIS)
