She consistently delivered on high-value projects and played a key role in increasing revenue and market share, notably in digital platforms and special projects.

During the three years away from The Nation, Johnally worked for a key player in the insurance industry as business development manager, ably leading a team responsible for new business, customer service and marketing.

She is also a past student of the Barbados Community College and the Combermere School.

As The Nation’s business development manager, she is responsible for developing the company’s exciting suite of products and creating new ones for the company’s diverse markets. Additionally, she will have responsibility for maximising revenue, positioning the company’s product offering while boosting the company’s reputation with key stakeholder groups.

Johnally said: “Media consumption is at an all-time high, with consumer behaviour driving innovation and content diversity.

“ The advancements in broadcast technology and telecommunications make it easier for media to expand its range of services and reach wider audiences in a meaningful way.

“As Barbadians and the business community pivots in response to the many changes, The Nation stands ready to lead with a suite of communication tools and platforms that deliver results. I am intrigued and energised by this opportunity and look forward to contributing in this area and beyond.”

In announcing the new appointment, Group Head of Advertising, Paulette Jones, said: “We are excited to have Johnally return to media and The Nation specifically. She is an outstanding addition to the team with the necessary experience yet energy for all that is new in media.

“She is the consummate professional with novel ideas that will help to push us beyond our comfort zone. She will also bring tighter focus to our new product development with our many business partners at the forefront of our innovation.” (PR)
