No play before lunch, 3rd day, 2nd Test
Gros Islet – Not a ball was bowled before the scheduled lunch interval in the second Test between West Indies and South Africa in St Lucia.
The South Africans were scheduled to start their second innings, after they bowled out West Indies for 149 to gain a first innings lead of 149, but rain caused a wet outfield.
Play is scheduled to start at 12:40 p.m. (local time).
West Indies trail 0-1 in the two-Test series, after they crashed to an innings and 63 runs defeat inside three days in the first Test, which ended last Saturday at the same venue.
Though the Vivian Richards Trophy, symbol of Test supremacy between the two sides, is destined to return to Johannesburg, West Indies will be aiming to square the series and avoid their first series defeat of the year.
