One new COVID case to close June

The only new COVID-19 case recorded on Wednesday, June 30, was that of a male who was identified from among the 552 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

Thirty-one people are in isolation.

Barbados has recorded 4 082 confirmed cases of COVID-19 – 1 978 females and 2 104 males.  The virus claimed 47 lives.

The public health laboratory carried out 186 328 tests, since February 2020.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 95 386 first doses of the vaccine were administered. The number of people who are fully vaccinated after receiving both doses is 71 181. (BGIS)
