Five new virus cases recorded for July 4

Five new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, one male and four females, were identified on Sunday, July 4, out of the 957 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The number of people in isolation is 31.

Since March 2020, Barbados has recorded 4 091 cases of the virus – 1 983 females and 2 108 males, and there have been 47 deaths.

The public health laboratory has carried out a total of 188 711 tests.

Health officials have administered 95 528 first doses of the vaccine as part of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. Additionally, 71 494 people are fully vaccinated after receiving both doses. (BGIS)
