Sinopharm vaccine roll-out begins July 13

The roll-out of the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine will begin tomorrow.

To this end, the Immunisation Unit has reopened the vaccine appointment website https://vaccine.gov.bb for people 18 years old and over who would like to book their first dose of the vaccine.

The roll-out will run until Sunday in the first instance.

Sinopharm is administered in two doses, separated by four weeks, and can be given to individuals who have already contracted COVID-19, as well as to pregnant women and people who are immuno-compromised.

Government recently received 30 000 doses of Sinopharm from the People’s Republic of China. (BGIS)
