Ten new virus cases

Ten new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, five males and five females, were identified on Sunday, July 11, from the 590 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

There are currently 64 people in isolation.

Barbados has recorded 4 186 confirmed cases of COVID-19, (2 025 females and 2 161 males) since the pandemic began in March last year. Forty-eight people have died from the virus.

The number of tests carried out by the public health laboratory, to date, is 194 896.

Public health officials have administered 96 212 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine under the National Vaccination Programme. A total of 72 606 people have received second doses and are fully vaccinated.

This figure represents 26.8 per cent of the population. (BGIS)
