Seven new virus cases, 152 people in isolation

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory has identified seven new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases – three females and four males. The number of tests conducted on Saturday, July 17 is 1 074.

There are 152 people in isolation.

Barbados has recorded 4 258 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2 066 females and 2 192 males) since the beginning of the pandemic in March last year.

The public health laboratory has carried out 201 418 tests, to date.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 97 874 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.

A total of 73 179 persons – 30 127 males and 43 052 females – have received second doses and are fully vaccinated. These individuals represent 27 per cent of the population. (BGIS)
