St Philip man charged with murder, arson

Brian Oneal Browne is facing four counts, including murder, in connection with a fire at 1st Avenue Chapman Lane, St Michael, on July 10.

Browne, 33 of Eastbourne #1, St Philip, is charged with the murder of 58-year-old Janice Mitchell who passed away last week in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

He will have to answer two counts of serious bodily harm against Janice’s daughter Keisha, 37, and her daughter, one year-old Halee Mitchell, all of the same address.

The fourth count is arson.

Keisha and her daughter remain hospitalised in critical condition.

Browne is expected to appear in the District A Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday. (PR/SAT)
