Fort Erie’s leading jockey Chris Husbands bagged a double on Monday, which increased his career earnings to more than US$6 million.
Husbands won with Handsome Like Me and No Exit to lead a Bajan tally of five wins on the seven-race programme.
Joining him in the winner’s enclosure in Ontario, Canada, were Jason Hoyte, who scored with Intricately and Miss Matilda, and reigning champion Juan Crawford on Crumlin Express.
In the first race, Husbands started by making all the running from the gates with the six-year-old chestnut gelding Handsome Like Me. (LY)
