COVID-19 vaccination schedule August 23 to 25

The Immunisation Unit will continue open days from Monday, August 23, to Wednesday, August 25 for people 18 years and over who are desirous of receiving either the Pfizer or Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines.

A statement from Barbados Government Information Service today said they will be allowed to visit the vaccination centres without an appointment.

Additionally, people who received the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine can visit any of the sites this week to receive their second dose.

The sites operating on Monday, August 23, are the Masonic Centre, Salters, St George; Bayley’s Primary School, Merricks, St Philip; Sharon Moravian Church Hall, Sharon, St Thomas; and the Sea Rocks Dome, Maxwell Coast Road, Christ Church.

The sites in St Michael on Monday are: Building No. 2, Harbour Industrial Park; Harrison College, Crumpton Street; and Eunice Gibson Polyclinic, Warrens.

At the Sea Rocks Dome, administration of the Pfizer vaccine will begin at 11 a.m., while first doses of the Sinopharm and second doses of the AstraZeneca will start from 10 a.m.

On Tuesday, August 24, the Masonic Centre; Sea Rocks Dome; Building No. 2, Harbour Industrial Park; the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Mile-and-a-Quarter, St. Peter; Bayley’s Primary School; Harrison College; Sharon Moravian Church Hall, and the Eunice Gibson Polyclinic will be open for administration of vaccinations.

The Masonic Centre, Sea Rocks Dome; Building No. 2, Harbour Industrial Park; the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Mile-and-a-Quarter; Bayley’s Primary School; Sharon Moravian Church Hall, and the Eunice Gibson Polyclinic will operate on Wednesday, August 25.

All vaccination sites will run from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. (BGIS
