A flash-flood warning is in effect for northern parishes of Barbados and will remain in effect until 6 p.m., but may be discontinued if conditions warrant.
A flash-flood warning is issued when rapid flooding due to heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than six hours) is occurring or is imminent in the warning area.
Maximum rainfall accumulations of 20 to 50 mm in moderate to heavy showers are expected across northern districts. (PR/SAT)
