Long wait at the Gym

As COVID-19 cases rise and health officials investigate more clusters, Barbadians are turning up en masse to be tested.

Yesterday, parents and their young children formed part of the group waiting at the Wildey Gymnasium following COVID-19 scares at two nurseries – in Grazettes, St Michael and Silver Hill, Christ Church.

Corey Sealy was there with his four-year-old son Shacorey. He said the process was “all right” though the wait was long. Shacorey, on the other hand, did not seem to like getting his nose swabbed as he was crying loudly and rubbing his nose.

“I’m a little upset my son was exposed to this virus but I’m not afraid he’s positive,” Sealy said. (CA)
