Barbados’ No.1 tennis player Darian King will lead the charge for promotion to Group 1 when the home international Davis Cup historic tie against Indonesia serves off today at the National Tennis Centre in Wildey.

King is set to make a comeback to the sport on home soil for the first time in two years after suffering a troubling wrist injury in 2019.

The 29-year-old baseliner, who is ranked 351 in the world, will play at number one in the opening singles against 18-year-old Gunawan Trismuwantara following yesterday’s draw.

It will be Barbados’ maiden match against Asian opponents at this level of the competition. (ACB)
