Health officials were pleased with the number of people who turned out to get vaccinated over the weekend.

They are encouraging more Barbadians to consider taking the jab against COVID-19 for the safety of their families.

“I think the efforts are going very well. I am pleased with the turnout this morning because we are having a steady flow. And that is the same as yesterday [Saturday] when I visited Bonnetts, Brittons Hill and Heroes Square,” said co-coordinator of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme, Dr Elizabeth Ferdinand, yesterday at Brandons Beach, St Michael, one of the pop-up sites.

Hundreds were also vaccinated at Brownes Beach and Harbour Industrial Park in St Michael as well as at North Stars Cricket Club in Crab Hill, St Lucy. (TG)
