175 new virus cases, 1 037 people in isolation

Eighty-six females and 89 males are the latest COVID-19 cases. The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 2 085 tests on Saturday, September 25.  Of the 175 new cases, 43 people are under the age of 18, and 132 are 18 years and older.

There are 1 037 patients in isolation.

Three person passed away on Saturday.  They were all females, aged 50, 66, and 84, who had comorbidities and were unvaccinated.

Barbados has recorded 7 576 confirmed cases (3 736 males and 3 840 females) of the viral illness, and 67 deaths, as at Saturday.

The public health laboratory has performed 308 840 tests.

A total of 132 267 first doses have been administered under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19.  To date, 101 857 people, which represents 37.6 per cent of the population, have received their second dose and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
