Fogging Schedule October 11-15, 2021

Article by sherrylynclarke@nationnews.com

Several districts in St James and Christ Church will be targeted when the Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness carries out its fogging exercise this week.

On Monday, October 11, the team will be in St James in the Westmoreland, Lancaster #2 and environs.

The next day, Tuesday, October 12, it will focus its attention on Seaview, Nicholls Road, Webster Road, Mahogany Avenue, Upper Halcyon Heights and surrounding areas.

Fogging will take place in the Christ Church districts of Worthing, Bamboo Road, Craigg Road, Harmony Hall, and neighbouring areas on Wednesday, October 13.

On Thursday, October 14, it will be the turn of Graeme Hall Park, Graeme Hall Terrace and environs.

The exercise will conclude for the week on Friday, October 15 in St James, where the team will visit Cherry Avenue, Frangipani Row, Carnation Row, Orchid Row, Oleander Row, Poinsettia Avenue, Plumbago Avenue and neighbouring districts.

Fogging takes place from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter.

Members of the public are advised that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time. (BGIS)
