One male died on Friday afternoon following a dispute with his brother.

Acting police public relations officer Acting Station Sergeant Michael Blackman gave that confirmation to the media at Maycocks Bay, St Lucy, where the brothers and their friends were fishing around 12:30 p.m.

“Reports are that a dispute broke out between the deceased and a brother. At first, they were parted by other friends, but one brother was able to escape and armed himself with a spear gun. The deceased was injured in the area of his face under his left eye.

Medical assistance was sought and, on arrival, there were no signs of life. Death was pronounced at the scene,” Blackman said.

More details will be provided as they come. (TG)
