Some people in home isolation are refusing to be transported to Government isolation facilities for medical care.
This was revealed as a concern yesterday by consultant manager of the Home Quarantine programme, Dr Adanna Grandison, who said one of those individuals died on October 15.
“There are a few concerns regarding home isolation. One of them is that we have had 373 people who have refused transportation and escalation of medical care. I do not know if they are scared to go to the isolation facility but these facilities are better equipped to manage COVID positives,” she said, while speaking during a televised press conference from Ilaro Court.
Grandison, in giving statistics and breakdowns, said there were currently 4 698 people in the home isolation programme. (NS)
