Eight more COVID-related deaths on Sunday

The number of lives lost to COVID-19 has climbed to 139, as eight more deaths occurred on Sunday, October 24.

Four women were among the deceased. They are: a 54-year-old who died at the Harrison’s Point Isolation Facility. She was vaccinated.

A 59-year-old and a 61-year-old, who were both primary care patients at Harrison’s Point; in addition to a 64-year-old who died at the Accident and Emergency Department are also among the deceased. These three women were unvaccinated.

Four males, including a 62-year-old man and a 65-year-old, passed away at Harrison Point in primary isolation. They were unvaccinated.

Meanwhile, a 71-year-old man who was vaccinated died at the Accident and Emergency Department. The other death recorded was that of a 93-year-old unvaccinated man who passed away in tertiary isolation at Queen’s College.

Minister of Health and Wellness, Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic, extended condolences to the bereaved. (BGIS)
