Barbadian boxer Cobia “Soldier” Breedy will be on the cusp of history when he steps in the ring tonight in the United States.
He will square off against Ugandan boxer Sulaiman Segawa for the World Boxing Council’s (WBC) Continental Americas Featherweight Championship.
Breedy has been feverishly preparing for his first title fight for the last few weeks and will be hoping to triumph and leave Washington D.C. with the coveted championship belt.
Under the guidance of his Bahamian coach, Floyd Seymour, Breedy has been in an intensive training camp over the last four weeks to ensure he is at his physical peak when he meets Segawa.
With 15 victories from his 16 professional bouts so far, Breedy is the favourite on paper, as the 30-year-old Segawa boasts 13 wins from his 18 professional fights so far. (NM)
