World-rated all-rounders Deandra Dottin and Hayley Matthews head a group of seven internationals named by the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) in a 26-member Barbados Women’s training squad to prepare for the Commonwealth Games next year in Birmingham, England.
Dottin and Matthews were in fine form for West Indies Women during the Tour of Pakistan last week, when the Caribbean side swept the hosts in three One-Day Internationals.
Dottin cracked her second ODI hundred for the Windies Women in the first ODI during the series and topped the runs chart with 170 at an average of 56.66.
Matthews earned the Player-Of-The-Series award for an all-round performance in which she ended with the second-most runs in the series of 132 at an average of 44 and snared the second-most wickets of seven at a miserly 14 runs apiece.
