Opposition Senator Crystal Drakes has cautioned Government to align their words with their actions as the country transitions to a republic.

With the outspoken main Opposition Senator Caswell Franklyn absent from yesterday’s sitting, Drakes took the Opposition senators’ lead in contributing to debate on a resolution to approve Charter Of Barbados 2021, which was subsequently passed.

“People are at the last bit of hope. The Government has to lead by example, not just in word, not just in charters, but by action, by their deeds.

“There are many Barbadians who are hurting and if they feel that they are being neglected by their own government it will be at the cost to all of us,” Drakes declared.  (GC)
