Work on Pot House road to restart

The people of Pot House, St John, are being asked to hold strain for just a bit longer as works will recommence shortly to fix the deplorable state of the roads there.

Lifelong resident Jefferson Trotman said a recent story made it appear as if the full length of the road was completed but that was not the case.

“We were told it was Phase 1 with only a quarter of the road finished. I don’t know when Phase 2 is going to begin . . . . This project stalled seven months ago. This has nothing to do with any party; this has to do with the residents of Pot House wanting this road fixed,” he said, adding the state of the road had worsened during recent water pipe placements.

Barbados Labour Party incumbent Charles Griffith, who is looking to retain his seat in that parish, said work on the road was expected to resume early this year. (CA)
