403 new virus cases

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory recorded 403 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases – 173 males and 230 females – from the 1 972 tests carried out on Thursday, February 10.

The cases consisted of 73 people under the age of 18, and 330 who were 18 years and older.

There were 184 people in isolation facilities, while 9 034 were in home isolation.

As at February 10, there were 291 deaths from the virus.

The public health laboratory has carried out 562 817 tests since February 2020, and recorded 50 880 COVID-19 cases (23 572 males and 27 308 females).

Under the National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign, the total number of people with at least one dose is 159 337 (69.8 per cent of the eligible population).

The total number of people who are fully vaccinated is 148 139 (54.7 per cent of the total population or 64.9 per cent of the eligible population).

The eligible population represents people who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
