Article by Kendy

Milisa Atrica Leola Browne alias “Dubaii Mili”, 30, and 31-year-old Andre Xavier Leacock, alias “FLY”, both appeared at the District “B” Oistins Court before Magistrate Deidre McKenna today, where they were not required to plead to offences which are all indictable.

They were both granted $50 000 bail and are required to report to Oistins every Wednesday before noon.

Browne, of #45, Apartment #1, 5th Avenue, Callenders Crescent, Christ Church and Leacock, of Combermere Street, Nelson Street, St Michael are both scheduled to reappear at the same court on June 14.

They are charged with committing the following offences within the jurisdiction of the magistrate of District “B” Oistins on February 17, 2022: Possession of cannabis; trafficking of cannabis, intent to supply cannabis; money laundering in the sum of (BDS$79 514.05 and US$14 997; unlawful retention of foreign currency in the sum of (US$14 997).

A media statement said that on the same date, police received information related to the matters and a Suppressing Criminal Activity Targeting Society (SCATS) Unit executed a search warrant at a residence at Callenders Crescent, which resulted in a large quantity of suspected cannabis, along with the mentioned sums of currency being discovered.

As a result, Browne and Leacock were arrested. Both were interviewed and charged. (PR)
