Come Tuesday, all public service vehicles (PSVs) operating the northern routes have to use the Speightstown Bus Terminal.

This was announced yesterday by Director of the Barbados Transport Authority, Ruth Holder, during discussion of the Appropriations Bill, 2022 in the Well of the House of Assembly.

Holder said all systems had been put in place to accommodate the ZRs and minibuses at the terminal, adding that the police will be out in full force to ensure that there is compliance.

Holder made the disclosure while responding to a question by Member of Parliament for St Peter, Colin Jordan, who expressed concern about the congestion of traffic at the traffic lights in Speightstown and fears that it could lead to a deadly situation if it continued. (MB)
