The two men charged in connection with the theft of sweet potatoes from Applewaite’s Plantation, Applewaite’s, St George, pleaded not guilty when they appeared in Court on Wednesday.

Rico Omar Drayton, 32 years, of Turton’s Gap, Government Hill, and Trevon Orlando Farley, 26, of Seales Land, Government Hill, St Michael, were remanded to Dodds Prison until April 6, 2022 when they are scheduled to reappear in the District “B” Magistrates court.

Drayton and Farley faced five counts in connection with the incident which is alleged to have occurred between January 29 and March 1, 2022. The stolen produce is valued at $6 320, but none has been recovered. (PR/SAT)
