Cricket authorities in Grenada are satisfied that they have delivered what they promised and they are looking forward to future opportunities to stage international matches at the National Cricket Stadium in St George’s.

President of the Grenada Cricket Association, Dwain Gill, said the result and the organisation of the deciding third Test between West Indies and England that ended on Sunday were a resounding success.

Though the Spice Isle is not currently earmarked to host any other international matches for the remainder of the year, Gill said he and his team were open to any opportunities because they had again proven their efficiency and effectiveness.

“I am quite satisfied with how everything turned out,” he told Midweek Sport. “We said we were going to prepare a pitch that would produce a result, and though some people were of the view that it was uneven, there was no advantage to any team.

“We got what we all wanted – which was a result – and fortunately West Indies won. And apart from that, we have had no complaints whatsoever from anyone, the teams or spectators.” (AR)
