428 new virus cases

A total of 428 people tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), 174 males and 254 females, on Wednesday, April 13, from the 1 357 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The cases comprised 80 people under the age of 18, and 348 who were 18 years and older.

There were 81 people in isolation facilities, while 2 889 were in home isolation.

As at April 13, there were 381 deaths related to COVID-19.

The public health laboratory has conducted 629 322 tests since February 2020, and recorded 63 785 COVID-19 cases (29 458 males and 34 327 females).

Under the National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign, the total number of people with at least one dose is 161 476 (70.7 per cent of the eligible population).  The total number of fully-vaccinated people is 151 588 (55.9 per cent of the total population or 66.4 per cent of the eligible population).

The eligible population represents people who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
