He is not getting his special diet; he has missed some of his dialysis treatments and there are “discrepancies” with his medication.

So said drug accused Michael Emmanuel Yarde as he made a plea for bail when he reappeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Yarde, 46, of Drax Hall Jump, St George, along with Kimeon O’Bryan DaCosta Wallace, 31, of Lower Estate, St George, and Richard Jose Gonzalez Guitierrez, a 29-year-old gas engineer, and Alexander Landaeta Vazquez, a 50-year-old shop vendor, both of San Cristobal, Estado Tachira, Venezuela, are jointly charged that within the Exclusive Economic Zone established by the Marine Boundaries and Jurisdiction Act, they had cannabis in their possession on October 12, 2021; that they had a traffickable quantity of the drug and that they had it with intent to supply.

Yarde, in his bail application, said he was not getting proper treatment while on remand at Dodds Prison. (HLE)
