A news release from the bank on Thursday stated that her academic qualifications coupled with over a decade of experience in sales, marketing, and communications have equipped Knight with the tools for a successful and rewarding journey with the financial institution.

“Ms Knight, a high performing, results oriented individual, values the importance of team and employee engagement,” the news release stated.

“She has charted an indelible path of growth for the institutions she has served with distinction. Her history of success, driven by integrity and commitment serve as an inspiration to the Republic Bank team as they look forward to the contributions she will make.”

Knight leaves behind a career in the distributive sector, where she held several key managerial roles at leading institutions across Barbados.

For the past two-and-a-half years, she was business unit head at Bryden Stokes Ltd, where she had oversight of the sales and marketing of several large food portfolios.

Prior to this, Knight worked as the sales and marketing manager at Hipac Ltd for seven years, where she was instrumental in the management and marketing of the local brand, Farmer’s Choice.

She also held several key positions in the BHL group of companies, including commercial manager for the Pine Hill Dairy.
