Mother and son caught with ganja

It was a house of drugs.

Between mother Maureen Moreen Sealy and her son Ramon McDonald Sealy, they had almost eight kilogrammes of cannabis, worth over $31 000, in their bedrooms and in the yard.

Maureen, 55, and Ramon, 38, both general workers, of Bonnetts Housing Area, Brittons Hill, St Michael, were in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court, where each pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis, having a traffickable quantity of the drug and possession of cannabis with intent to supply, all on August 19.

Ramon later pleaded guilty to cultivating the drug on the same date.

They were each represented by attorney Damien Sands.

Magistrate Manila Renee reprimanded Ramon for simple possession and convicted, reprimanded and discharged him for possession with intent to supply and cultivating the illegal drug. (HLE)
