Winnipeg, MB – The hot form of Barbadian Renaldo Cumberbatch showed little sign of waning when the veteran jockey reeled off four wins on the seven-race card on Monday at Assiniboia Downs in Canada, including the capture of the feature CAN $40 000 Osiris Stakes.

The 43-year-old paired with 1-10 favourite Lady Cop in the curtain-raiser to beat the two-year-olds by three lengths in an 1 100-metre sprint in a time of one minute, 07.20 secconds.

Lady Cop duelled with favourite Adjournment – ridden by Barbadian Antonio Whitehall – before getting clear in the stretch to control the latter stages.

This capture of the feature laid the foundation for domination of the day’s racing by Cumberbatch.

He followed up in another 1 100-metre sprint in the second race, combining with favourite French Rose to thrash the three-year-old and upward fillies and mares by 4-1/4 lengths.

Once again, Cumberbatch was forced to duel early, this time with 3-10 choice A Lot of Spunk before opening up in the stretch with the five-year-old, chestnut mare.

Cumberbatch then recorded his third straight win, piloting 1-4 bet Tuscan Damsel to a two-length score over the three-year-old and upward fillies and mares.

Going 1 500 metres, Cumberbatch pressed leader and favourite, Saratoga Style from the outside before challenging with the five-year-old, chestnut mare on the final turn, grabbing the lead mid-turn, and getting to the wire safely.

Fittingly, Cumberbatch rounded out the day’s card when he stormed to the capture of the seventh race with favourite Miss Giving, dismissing the three-year-old and upward fillies and mares by 3-3/4 lengths over six furlongs in a front-running effort.
