Police investigating shooting in Endeavour

One individual was hospitalised after a shooting on Tuesday in St James.

Police said about 6:30 p.m., officers responded to Endeavour, near Orange Hill, for reports of a shooting.

A 25-year-old man reported he was shot about his body by another man, while he was standing outside a residence, according to police.

He was taken to a medical facility by private transport, and he was reported to be in stable condition and was receiving surgery.

Officers are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting.

This is an ongoing investigation, and police appealed to anyone with additional information to contact the Holetown police station at 419-1700, police emergency 211, Crime Stoppers at 1800-TIPS (8477), or the nearest police station.
