UPDATE: Fatal shooting in Christ Church

Article by sherrylynclarke@nationnews.com

One man is dead and his female companion is said to be in serious condition after a shooting incident on Wednesday night at Keizer Hill Drive, Endeavour, Enterprise, Christ Church.

Police are also looking for a gold Toyota Axio with registration plates SA3501 in which the assailants are said to have fled the scene.

Lawmen responded to the scene after receiving a call around 9:30 p.m. and discovered the man’s body in a bushy area near a residential property after a brief search. The woman was also found and she was transported for medical treatment.

Ambulance personnel said she was in serious, but stable condition.

The pair had just arrived at the residence in a car when a number of armed men appeared from a dark bushy area, attacked them and started shooting. Both attempted to escape.

Police are appealing to the general public for any information pertaining to this incident. If you have witnessed this incident, have any knowledge about its occurrence or the people involved, contact the Oistins Police Station at 418-2612, Police Emergency at 211 or any other Police Station, or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 8477 (TIPS).
