COVID-19 update for September 9, 2022
Barbados has recorded 41 new COVID-19 cases, 19 males and 22 females, from the 310 tests carried out on Friday, September 9, by laboratories across the island.
Of the cases, one person was under the age of 18, and 40 were 18 years and older.
There were 54 people in isolation facilities, while 515 were in home isolation.
As of September 9, there were 556 COVID-19 related deaths.
The laboratories have conducted 759,229 tests since February 2020, and recorded 101,850 COVID-19 cases (46,065 males and 55,785 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 163,429 (71.6 per cent of the eligible population).
The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 154,487 (57 per cent of the total population or 67.6 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
