Government will be providing a single online platform where businesses will be able to access services and information in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Small Business Sandra Husbands told the closing event for Small Business Week on Friday that businesses would have access to 28 Government units “even in the middle of the night”.

In the feature address at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Husbands told small business leaders the aim was to remove the delays and cost of standing in lines and other forms of delay.

“You do not want to have to stand in line,” she noted, adding that time was money.

Husbands advised the business owners to work as a team at the Small Business Association and noted the importance of enhanced skills. She indicated that Barbados was also adopting the team approach to trade with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). (HH)
