Shooting victim dies

Richean Alexander, 26, died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital early Tuesday morning after succumbing to gunshot injuries.

He was one of three people struck by gunfire around 8:40 p.m. on Monday when two people on a motorcycle rode along Nelson Street, The City, toward Fairchild Street and discharged a number of rounds before leaving the area.

All three were taken for treatment.

The Commissioner of Police and members of the Barbados Police Service expressed condolences to the family of the deceased in a media statement.

Police also appealed to the public who may have information that can assist with these investigations to contact the nearest police station.
