Gothlene Hinds made a gruesome discovery after not seeing her brother for a little more than 24 hours.

Along with a friend, she entered her brother 72-year-oldĀ  Simion Carlisle Legall, Spring Farm, St Thomas home around 6:30 p.m. yesterday to discover a horrifying sight.

“I last saw him on Tuesday. Yesterday a neighbour of his told me they had been calling all day Wednesday and didn’t hear him, so we went to look for him. I unlock the door and I see the bedroom ransack, clothes on the floor, drawers pull out and blood on the pillows and bed,” she said.

Hinds said she could not go any further and called the police. The police reported Legall was discovered motionless on his bed. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor.

Unofficial reports say he had gunshot wounds to the head.

The Barbados Police Service is appealing to anyone who can provide any information pertaining to this incident to kindly call the Criminal Investigation Department (Northern Division) at 419-1737 or 419-1730, Police Emergency 211, Crime Stoppers at 1800-TIPS (8477) or the nearest Police Station.
