Suspected drowning

An elderly man was pulled from the sea off Sugar Bay Hotel,  at Hastings, Christ Church earlier Saturday, after experiencing difficulty while bathing.

The man, said to be in his 70s, was given CPR and efforts were made to revive him. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The English visitor was a guest at the Sugar Bay Hotel. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his death to family and relatives. (PR/SAT)
