Over 400 spectators were treated to a special opening day as Dream 11 BIM10 cricket returned with emphatic victories for last year’s losing finalists Guardians and defending champions Settlers.

Player-of-the match Ryshon Williams sparkled for the Guardians with a brutal unbeaten 48 off 27 balls, as they overcame the Warriors by six wickets with seven balls to spare at Desmond Haynes Oval in Black Rock.

The electric Shakkae Marshall fizzed with 41 in 17 balls for the Settlers who dismissed the Voyagers by 22 runs.

Dealing only in sixes, the right-handed Williams walloped six of them to help the Guardians to 100 for four in 8.5 overs, overtaking Warriors 99 for seven in 10 overs. (RW)
