Court Pay ATM soon to ease mothers
The days of women standing in line at court offices as they wait to collect maintenance monies could soon be a thing of the past.
Chief Justice Sir Patterson Cheltenham announced yesterday that the judiciary was in receipt of a new system for the Magistrates’ Court which would allow maintenance monies to be collected via an automatic teller machine (ATM).
He made the revelation while addressing the opening of the 2021-2022 legal year yesterday.
This year, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was held virtually via Zoom as Sir Patterson spoke from the Court of Appeal. (HLE)
