No bail after trial date set, says judge
Justice Carlisle Greaves says he will not be entertaining applications for bail after trial dates have been set.
He was speaking in the matter involving Shawn Phillips, who was back before the No. 3 Supreme Court yesterday after a retrial was ordered following a mistrial. He had been charged with the murder of Melissa Amanda Davis between November 28 and December 5, 2008.
The partly decomposed body of Davis, a former employee of DWISE Inc. in Swan Street, The City, was discovered on December 5, 2008, in a bushy area in Barker’s Road, Haggatt Hall, St Michael, about 130 metres from her home in Bird Hill, Haggatt Hall.
Phillips, 47, of Chimborazo, St Joseph, has spent the last 13 years at HMP Dodds. (RA)
