No scantily clad revellers wining in the streets.
Except for the sounds of people going about their business, the silence is almost defeaning with the absence of music that has been blasting from trucks since Carnival Friday.
Things went back to normal here in Trinidad from late last night when Carnival 2011 came to an exciting climax.
The only visible sign that something went on over the past few days are a few vendors’ stalls that are waiting to be dismantled.
There was a mass exodus from the sold out hotel rooms with visitors making their way back to their respective countries.
Those with a bit more time on their hands are packing the gift shops for lasting reminders of what is dubbed the greatest carnival on earth.
Still, some others along with Trinbagonians, made the long trek to Maracas Bay and other popular beaches to relax and take in the Carnival cool down activities.
