LIAT operated two flights into Grenada this evening, after it was forced to cancel all flights to that destination earlier today due to industrial action at the Maurice Bishop International Airport.
The flights were LI 787 and LI 372.
LIAT has also made changes to its flight schedule for tomorrow.
A release this evening from Corporate Communications Manager Desmond Brown stated that LI 754 will operate from Trinidad non stop to Barbados, while LI 303 will be re-timed to leave Barbados at 7 am and will operate its normal routing – Barbados-Grenada-Trinidad. LI 304 will be re-timed to leave Trinidad at 9:25am and will operate non-stop to Barbados
“Customers affected by the disruptions who wish to rebook for a later date will be allowed to do so without charge for a period of one week from the date of their scheduled travel. Following the one-week grace period, passengers will be required to pay applicable fare and change fees when re-booking,” he added.
Brown said LIAT’s management was seeking to work with the Technical and Allied Workers Union which represent the workers, its employees in Grenada and the Grenada Government to bring a speedy resolution to this matter. (PR)
