Five in BAJ Hall Of Fame

The Barbados Association of Journalists (BAJ) honoured its own last Thursday night, inducting five veteran media practitioners into its Hall Of Fame during a cermony at the Grand Salle of the Tom Adams Financial Centre.
They were Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) radio host Larry Mayers, retired CBC?photographer and videographer Dalton Jackman, retired CBC?journalist Mike Goddard, retired Nation photographer Charles Grant and veteran Nation freelance journalist Gercine Carter.
The induction followed the annual Clennell Wickham Memorial Lecture delivered by United States-based Barbadian Professor Mike Alleyne, a member of the faculty in the Department of Recording Industry at Middle Tennesee State University.
BAJ president?Jewel Forde said the five inductees collectively spanned more than 200 years of  “journalistic excellence”. (GC)
