Embattled Prime Minister Freundel Stuart has only himself to blame for the apparent revolt by some of his Cabinet colleagues, says political analyst Tennyson Joseph.
And that’s because he did not stamp his own style on the party immediately following the passing of David Thompson, Joseph argues.
Speaking during Voice Of Barbados’ Brass Tacks Sunday programme yesterday, Joseph said that if Stuart were removed from the leadership position, it would signal a sense of panic that could cause the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) to lose the next General Election.
“In addition, the DLP, which made a brouhaha over the leadership issue in the Barbados Labour Party (BLP)?when Mia Mottley was removed as leader in favour of Owen Arthur, would lose their high moral ground.”
