The Alexandra School saga, and the issue surrounding the teacher transfers are on the mouths of our online readers again this morning.
Minister of Education Ronald Jones has described the meetings on the Alexandra affair being held by the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union (BSTU), which go into the second day today, as “tantamount to industrial action.”

Michael Lewis: “These teachers still have a job. Think of those who have lost jobs over the last couple of years and cannot find work. I would say all in the Alexandra saga are blessed and should return to work even though the timing of these transfers may not be the best.”
Devaron Bruce: “They were meetings within the school, meetings with parents, meetings with unions, meetings with the Ministry of Education, meetings with the minister of education, meetings with the PM and a whole Commission of Inquiry. A decision has been made. They are over doing a story now.”
